My Music Staff Portal
All students and families will receive complimentary access to the My Music Staff Portal for lesson reminders, student resources, and online payment. Log in information will be provided upon lesson enrollment. The portal can be accessed at https://www.lindseykovach.com/studentportal.
Tuition
Lesson tuition will be billed monthly based on the number of lessons per month. An invoice will be emailed with a link to easily pay online through the My Music Staff Portal. Alternate Invoices are auto-emailed on the 25th of the prior month. Payment is due in advance of lessons on the 1st of each month. Please make every effort to pay on time. Recurring late payments may result in termination of enrollment. Families are highly encouraged to use My Music Staff’s autopay feature.
When enrolling in lessons after the 1st of a new month, payment for that month’s lessons will be due at enrollment.
If the teacher must miss a lesson for any reason and a make-up lesson is not possible, a tuition credit will be applied to your My Music Staff account, reducing your next tuition payment. Lesson credits may also be applied in the case of an excused absence that cannot be made up.

Student Absences
Excused: Please notify me AT LEAST 24 hours in advance of your scheduled lesson time if you will be unable to make it to our lesson. All lessons canceled with at least 24 hours notice will either be rescheduled, or will receive a credit toward your next lesson. Make-up lessons occur either during an available time slot in the teacher’s schedule or at the end of each term.
Unexcused: If I receive notice less than 24 hours before your scheduled lesson time or no notice, then your absence is unexcused, and you are responsible for payment for that lesson. Because tuition reserves the student’s weekly time slot, tuition is not reduced for unexcused absences. Make-up lessons are not offered unexcused absences. This does not apply for emergencies, which will be addressed on a case-by-case basis.
Tardies: Students who are late to the scheduled lesson will only receive the remaining time allotted to them and will be charged for a full scheduled lesson.
Committment
Once enrolled in private lessons, it is the expectation that the student remains enrolled for the entire school year. Students may only terminate lessons at the end of each term. Failure to give written notice by the start date of each term will result in a non-refundable payment for the following term’s lessons.

Required Materials
The following materials are necessary for successful study of the flute:
-
Flute in working order
-
Cleaning rod and cloth
-
Lesson books/sheet music as assigned
-
A tuner/metronome
-
Pencils
-
Wire music stand (for home practice)
Flute Maintenance
Flutes require regular maintenance for students to succeed and perform at their best. Students should keep their instruments in good condition by cleaning them after each practice session and should report any functional issues to their teacher right away. It is recommended that flutes are serviced at least once a year by a qualified flute technician to avoid problems and costly repairs down the road. Technician references will be provided upon request.
